NTH. CORNWALL BRANCH - UK. INDEPENDENCE PARTY
OF THE PEOPLE - FOR THE PEOPLE!
APRIL NEWSLETTER.
Dear Members,
You may have attended, or heard about both our Roadshow Open Evening at Launceston on the 25th February and our AGM on 7th March at Bolventor.
*The Roadshow, was a very enjoyable, interesting evening with the specialist subject of Windfarms with speaker Bob Barfoot of the CPRE. Steve Crowther, UKIP CE then followed with update on the political scene. There was a superb raffle AND we signed up new members!
*The AGM at Bolventor was very well attended by members and visitors. Chairman Bruce gave an introductory talk with reference to the insidious encroachment by the EU over all our lives. The Officers and committee members were re-elected unanimously. Mrs Stephanie McWilliam (SW Chair) gave a very interesting talk on the Branch Revival days being arranged, the first being on Sunday 22nd April at Summercourt, with training and interaction of ideas. Afterwards refreshments were enjoyed, new members signed up and there was time for chatting and socialising! Voted a very interesting evening!
*Now, the disappointing news is that no one has contacted me with regards to standing as possible Councillor or Parliamentary Candidate. Thirty years ago this country was truly Gt. Britain. We had a Health service that was the envy of the world, with Doctors who truly cared and did not work by the clock. We had an Education system that was the envy of the world, likewise, our Law and Order and Police Force, we had Civil Servants, Politicians, M.P's and a Government that was not only the envy of the world but one that was renowned for the way it governed THIS country with Principles, Integrity and Honour. Surely there must be someone in this branch of UKIP who not only remembers those times but burns to go back to that, and knows that with effort, we can do so? I am aware that this county has a goodly share of pensioners who are not well enough to undertake something like this. However, we are not ALL too old. Some members who travelled to Launceston on the 25th were in their nineties! So please everyone, have another think about it. There will be training and full support. You will not be left to go it alone. Please also remember that any help you can give us, telephone talk time to supporters, stuffing envelopes, talking to any groups you know is very welcome and will help us to get the message across.
STOP PRESS- - - - - STOP PRESS- - - - STOP PRESS- - - - - STOP PRESS- - - STOP PRESS.
THIS IS IMPORTANT. THE NEXT 'ROADSHOW OPEN EVENING' IS AT THE
PARKHOUSE CENTRE IN BUDE. ON THE 21st JUNE. 7-00P.M. FOR 7-30P.M.
SPEAKER. STUART AGNEW. M.E.P. FOR AGRICULTURE AND FISHERIES..
REFRESHMENTS AND RAFFLE. SPECIAL OFFER OF HALF-PRICE MEMBERSHIP.
PLEASE TELL EVERYONE, BRING YOUR FRIENDS, NEIGHBOURS.
I am now making a heartfelt plea to all those members who live in Bude or surrounding districts to come along and support this event. We have invited the Young Farmers groups and the Fishermen groups as we need their input, needs and knowledge of these industries, the two biggest in Cornwall. Stuart Agnew is a farmer himself and that is why he is coming all the way from East Anglia for this one evening. Incidentally he does a lot for those communities in Cornwall. So if any of you know anyone who is either Fisherman or Farmer, invite them along. We really do need their expert knowledge. It is a good chance for them to find out just how UKIP would help them.
* Incidentally, it has been arranged that we shall have a table in the street of Bude that day anyway. Handing out leaflets and talking to people. So anyone wishing to come along and give a hand for an hour would be truly welcome. Please let me know.
SNIPPETS. (in case you missed them) * Senior Labour MP Adrian Baley (West Bromwich - salary approx £80,000) claimed £13 expenses for attending three Remembrance Day services in his constituency.
* Sunderland Councillor Florence Anderson, suspended by Labour Party for supporting a call for the IRA to bomb the next Tory Conference???????? REMAINS as Chair of the council's "Community & Safer City Scrutiny Committee" in charge of Crime and Disorder Issues. That has got to be the Perfect job match!!!
* Britain gives £80million to help fix Turkey's sewer system.
*. Ed Davey. Lib-Dem MP for Energy and Climate Change. Wants Wind Turbines/Solar panels. His brother is representative of, and has interest in, companies making/selling Wind Turbines.
* 7 yr old Anthony Steele, who suffers from Asperger's syndrome, and is a fan of playing at Pirates in his back garden, has been ordered to take down his pirate flag - fastened to broom handle - by his local council, who say it is breaching the planning rules on 'advertising' after complaint by one person.
* A little lad of four was branded 'racist' for asking another little boy if he was from Africa because he had a brown skin. The Nazi squad sent his Mother a letter complaining about him!
*Good News. We have welcomed many new members recently. Amongst them, Roger Helmer, former Tory MEP, Alexandra Swann, a young lady who spoke eloquently at the Skegness Spring Conference, a Tory councillor from Cambridgeshire, Cllr Lister Wilson- - - - not to mention the people from all walks of life. We welcome them all into the folds of UKIP. We are-: Of the People - For the People OF Great Britain.
Now, I have been asked to make it clear to everyone, including other branches, that our Blog Page can be accessed via the address at bottom of page. You can interact via it, let your views be known on it, suggestions, ideas etc etc. Do not be shy, we would love articles and opinions for it. Please contact Janet - address at bottom, to check on copyright laws.
NOW-- HOW IS YOUR M.P. DOING? Do you ever wonder? You can log-on to-:
http://www.brugesgroup.com/mpwatch/index.live
How often have our MP's voted for even MORE EU integrationist policies since 2010 elections!
Nth.Cornwall has the dubious pleasure of having the top MP in Dan Rogerson at 82% Stephen Gilbert St.Austell, 70%; Andrew George and Sarah Newton both 58%; Sheryll Murray, who did vote against the whips on Referendum, is better with 32%, followed by George Eustace 4%. Is this really reflecting the wishes of the electorate?
The truth about the Goldman Sachs bank and it's ideas for world domination, has been known for quite a while, so it was really refreshing to read of the man who resigned as he could not take anymore of their lies. Hope he joins UKIP! A good book to read- "Disappearing Britain" by Lindsay Jenkins, Foreword by Lord Tebbit. Brilliant!
I must admit to sometimes feeling really, really helpless against this seemingly unstoppable juggernaut of a government, which has no interest in the people who voted them in, the people of this country. It seems like a disease hits these people the moment they pass as election winners and enter through the portals of our ancient seats of government. They bantam cock across the countries of the world, making their views known, giving out billions of OUR money to all and sundry for their own futures, their egos so big it outshines anything else left of Honour, Trust, and Integrity. Why shouldn't they be answerable to us? On every single thing BEFORE it has taken place. Not when we read about it via the Freedom of Information a long time afterwards. Tell anyone it is no good moaning if they have voted for Tories, Lib-Dems or Labour as it is voting for the EU! To all these people I say, Do not forget, YOUR children and grandchildren will know what you did to this country!
So I ask everyone, please sit up and think - - we CAN bring this rotten weak-kneed lot down and regain our country by supporting our branches. When we are a vast branch covering all areas, we can still do our bit. It all adds up to one large bit. There is always something to be done. Please let me have your e-mail addresses as postal costs are rising rapidly. Goodbye Royal Mail, our excellent, efficient servant since Victorian times!. R.I.P.
The only thing to say about the Budget is, what else can we expect from millionaires like Clegg, Cameron and the rest? They are certainly not on our planet. In paragraph 2.54 of the budget bumf- The existing exemption from Income Tax of the first £30,000 of pay-offs to ex-MP's will now apply to payments from the new parliamentary expenses scheme! No complaints heard from Ed Miliband! (A lot of my voluntary work has stopped because of cost of fuel.) Do they care?? Samantha Cameron's Father has had plans passed for bigger wind-farm. Projected income approx' £350,000 per annum. Would there be so much heart-wringing for the planet from politicians if there were no income to be had?? Incidentally, when the smaller ones are scrapped for bigger, they go to landfill as they do not rot down. Not to mention the dead birds! So, what do you think?? Let me know!

May I offer a BIG welcome to our new members. The more members to be heard, the quicker we can regain OUR Gt.Britain.
Everyone will by now have heard of proposed boundary changes. With this in mind, the committee decided it was imperative that we are seen to be a party of the whole country. A solid mass, regardless of branch boundaries. Although there will always be branches, there will be very close liaison with others. Meetings will be arranged between us, also hopefully social times. We are all of the same mind. Let that aspect be seen by all.
The situation of greed, egos etc carries on getting worse. Marta Andreason, UKIP MEP is determined to blow the gaffe on spending waste. For instance, a party of 50 MEP's went on a 'fact-finding' mission to the Congo?? Cost £850,000. (Marta was the Treasurer of the EU until she started to blow the whistle on expenditure - and was sacked by Neil Kinnock. He and his wife on huge salaries and pensions from EU)
Perhaps that is why Britain has to pay £50 MILLION PER DAY to be in it. This whilst some of OUR old people cannot afford heating AND food. Whilst OUR schools crumble together with OUR health "Service"? Whilst OUR government looks after every other country under the sun!!!!!
Some of you will have seen the letters in the Western Morning news from 'sir' Graham Watson. Lib Dem. The 'sir' I refuse to use. He is the ardent anti-monarchist, a leading light in the European Arrest Warrant, a leading light in the group 'Republic'. HE ACCEPTED A KNIGHTHOOD FROM HER MAJESTY, THE QUEEN!!!! Incidentally he has just done a minute's talk on PRUNES' in Brussels. Obviously deserves his gold-plated pension! Actually that is why MP's will not speak out against Brussels. If they are in receipt of payment from the EU, they contravene their contract if they speak out against. Democracy at it's best!!
Closer to home. Janet, our IT expert, has got our 'blog' page up and running. It is a real asset. On Monday 30th Jan we got 308 hits from across the globe. Countries like-: Russia; U.S.A; Ukraine; Mexico; Australia; Romania; Croatia; Germany; and UK of course. Many peoples of the EU do NOT want their countries to be swallowed by the EU. They wish to retain their own nationalities. Why not? So Log-onto-: http://ukipcornwallnews.blogspot.com If you wish to write a UKIP article, please send direct to Janet on janetclarke12000@yahoo.com
VERY IMPORTANT. We need CANDIDATES. For the 2013 council elections plus the General Election.. We must be ready. Now is the time. Even if you are just a paper candidate -which means no canvassing- please think carefully and let me have your names. Full training is given so you do not have to flounder in uncharted waters. Before you say, 'Oh I couldn't do that' ask yourself, 'WHY NOT?' Imagine if you went to the election booth determined to vote for UKIP and there was no-one. We need all the votes we can get. Please, if you truly believe in Gt.Britain, just consider having a go. We will support you. Please, LET ME KNOW if you would like your viewpoints, ideas etc. to be discussed at committee level. This branch is here FOR YOU!
There is also a flourishing branch for Young Independents of UKIP.

UK INDEPENDENCE PARTY. - - - NORTH CORNWALL BRANCH. WINTER 2011.
Dear Member, THE UKIP STAR IS IN THE ASCENDANT!
This branch has had a very busy year so far. The Open Evening Roadshows have proven not only very enjoyable, lucrative and interesting but ending with a vibrant socratic session at each one. The raffles have raised enough to cover costs, and most importantly, we signed up new members to whom we offer a very warm welcome. These evenings will continue. (see paragraph 2)
We then had the superb fund-raising Boat Trip up the Tamar, with a lovely supper on the Barbican, a raffle and time for chat. In fact no-one wanted to get off the boat or for the evening to end. We have decided it will be an annual event but with a 'Bring your own Supper' so we may then have longer on the water.
Our first big Open Evening of 2012 is arranged for the 25th February at the White Hart Hotel in Launceston. Our speakers are Mr.Bob Barford of Nth.Devon and who is a member of the CPRE, who will speak about the windfarm epidemic and tell the actual truth about it's 'green energy'. Mr Steve Crowther, UKIP's Executive Chairman, will speak on the political impact. There will be a raffle with top prizes, and a chance to meet and chat and ask your questions. Come along and meet us. Bring a friend. You can then see what a vibrant branch this is, and that UKIP is the only party to be in. TELL EVERYONE YOU MEET! KEEP THE DATE IN YOUR DIARIES!
Did anyone see the report that the NHS have the use of tax-payer funded credit cards? To the tune of £78,000 last year. Not for the ill people, but staff trips to Rio De Janeiro, California, Prague etc. Morale-boosting days ie, £379-77p at the Victorian Chop House in Manchester; M&S vouchers; seasonal decorations; the list is endless! Government Ministers, civil servants, all have the same credit cards. On their salaries, the least they can do is pay for themselves. If only every person in Britain knew all the goings-on, of our so-called elected representatives, they would be horrified. The Speaker, John Bercow, has just spent £37,000 of YOUR money on a Coat of Arms and a portrait of himself!!! (the pay of two soldiers) We are also paying for Africa to invest in Solar Panels??? Can you afford them for your house? Whilst Meals on Wheels, carers and other humanitarian services needed for our citizens are cut!!
Contrary to what the other party politicians, the media and press would have you believe, we do NOT hate the Europeans. We have members of all races, creeds etc. We want to trade with the EU. They need us far more than we need them. We just do NOT want to be ruled by Brussels, nor pay upwards of £50 million per day for that dubious privilege either. Why should we? It is just NOT true that Britain would go under with no trade if we came out of the EU. Article 50 in the Lisbon Treaty states-: "The EU has to make trading agreements with any nation wishing to leave the EU" The two richest countries in Europe trade with, but are not members of the EU . Switzerland and Norway. This country was just as strong and rich once! WE CAN BE AGAIN!
Until then, at every opportunity, we implore you to tell all and sundry that UKIP does have the answers. People seem to think we have only one objective and then nothing. This is not true. We have people in UKIP that are more than capable of running this country right now. Due to one fact-: THEY HAVE ACTUALLY HAD WORKING LIVES OUT IN THE REAL WORLD, WHERE WE ARE. IN INDUSTRY, BANKING, EDUCATION, HEALTH ETC ETC. They know what it is to pay bills, taxes, and live ordinary lives. Why should they be any different you ask.? Because they will be answerable to the electorate. That is the difference. The by-election soon to take place in Feltham and Heston was already well organised by UKIP before Labour had chosen a candidate. The bookmakers have put UKIP on shorter odds than the Lib-Dems! It is only by spreading the word that the UK Independent Party is the answer that people will start to listen. Let us bring true Democracy back to our country, with respect for self and others, pride in this country and true Law and Order. The things that our people have actually fought AND DIED for! I pass on the words of a soldier of WW1 who was on a TV programme. He said, 'Going to war was not about being killed or killing, it was understood it was not a war for possession of a fortress or a country, but for freedom from domination and for the inalienable right of any nation to live and develop as it wished.' It was very moving listening to him.
Many thanks for your support Thanks to Janet, the new Cornwall website is up and running. www.ukipcornwall.org.uk This will bring you other news as well from the SW. Have a look, let us have your views.
If you can get anyone to join, it is a Special Offer of £10 only p.p. Please send form and money direct to me as the branch is allowed to keep the first year's funds to help with our expenses. Many thanks for your time.
Special Offer of enamel 'Union Jack' lapel badges ONLY £2-50p each .Ideal gifts. Ring me to order.
I WISH YOU ALL A VERY HAPPY, PEACEFUL, BLESSED CHRISTMAS AND A SUCCESSFUL NEW YEAR!
Could everyone let me have their e-mail address to update my records? It is so expensive to post everything.

NEWSLETTER AUTUMN 2011-08-31
Dear Member,
Well, it has been a busy time for us all. We also welcome our new members. Isn’t that lovely news? As it is for the first UKIP councillor, (May 5th) even if it si for Devon. I did send congratulations from North Cornwall. As well as the success of Ramsay in Cambridgeshire where all nine of the UKIP candidates were elected so UKIP took control of the administration of the council and so have a UKIP Mayor and Deputy. However, we only had that success owing to people just like you and I VOTING for them! It CAN be our turn next!
I WANT MY COUNTRY GT BRITAIN BACK –FOR MY CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN! DO YOU?
P.s. I feel better now that I have written that!
Here is a brief report of some of our actions over the last 2/3 months:
Re: 27th April @ Bude. A big Thank You to all those who attended to make this a very successful, profitable and enjoyable evening. Janet and Philip Clarke did us proud. Not only did they provide the venue, refreshments, raffle prize, Janet had typed some info’ sheets, together with membership forms ready for people to take away with them. We had Ivor (Vice Chair) who did an interesting introductory talk, with myself filling in the gaps. It was a good chance for people to actually meet and chat to each other. Mostly members attended with some visitors who showed great interest with what UKIP stood for and were trying to do. It was such a nice evening that the group in Bude are going to meet on a regular basis. Times to be arranged. So if anyone is interested send Janet an e-mail (janetclarke12000@yahoo.com). For my part I really enjoyed being able to meet the people that I have spoken with on the phone. A truly lovely evening which has made me even more determined to do it again somewhere else (incidentally Janet, who is a computer buff, has agreed to look at our website so that we can all log on and understand where we are going and what we are doing!!!! Hopefully, we can then try and put our news or information on ‘What’s On’ page) *see Note at end.
Following on very quickly from this, a member from St Breward expressed an interest in hiring the village hall for an Open Evening and asked me if we could possibly get out SW MEP Trevor Colman to give a talk (Trevor is St Breward born and bred). So after many e-mails going back and forth, Trevor confirmed that he would do this. As his diary is absolutely packed we thought this very generous of him. This was arranged for Tuesday, 14th June. So I then sat and designed posters and info’ flyers. On the 6th June five of us, plus member John Francis footslogged leaflets all around the village. The day arrived. It was a superb, successful evening with new members signing up. The talk by Trevor Colman on the impact the EU actually has on the ordinary man-in-the-street was very interesting, informative and frightening. Everyone was appreciative of being told the truth. There were lovely refreshments cooked and given by John and time for meeting and chatting to others. The raffle also raised much needed funds. The main prize being a water colour donated by John. We immediately booked Trevor for the July 6th meeting at Bodmin.
Incidentally, Trevor is now touring schools and colleges to give the same information to the students. So if anyone has children or friends who would like to book him for this, and I cannot recommend him too highly, please go to the brand new site Trevor has set up with the true picture of the impact of the EU. (www.th-eu-nit.com) It is well worth looking at.
On the 30th June your committee had a meeting so that events past and present and for the future could be discussed in depth. Ideas came thick and fast which were discussed by all present. Please watch this space and on the website.
Our Boat Trip on Friday 17th June, had to be cancelled at the last moment due to the weather. However, it was re-arranged for Friday 1st July. Oh Boy! what a night!!! Everything was perfect, weather, trip itself, with Skipper giving interesting documentary on places and objects of interest as we went along. Fish and Chips from Barbican were great, the raffle a great success and no-one wanted to get off the boat. It was decided it would be a proper annual event but next yeat it will be a ‘Bring Your Own Supper’ so that we can have more time travelling on the water so being able to go farther.
Finally on the 6th July we had the meeting I had arranged in Bodmin at the BCA room (This is before we all have to go into hibernation for the holiday season). It was another very enjoyable, well-attended, successful and profitable evening, again with us signing up new members. Everyone enjoyed an intense Question and Answer session with Trevor who always answers openly, frankly and forthrightly. I also had four apologies when I got home.
Don’t forget, if anyone else in other areas wants to do the same, but would like the support of the committee, please just let us know. You will not have to do it all by yourselves. By the way, if you can get someone to join, make sure they do so by sending form and payment to me to forward to HQ, as then our branch retains the money.
The next Roadshow ‘Open Evening’ will be taking place in Wadebridge. This is on Tuesday 4th October at the Pavilion Room, off Egloshayle Road, Wadebridge. There is a car park adjacent. Start at 7p.m. Again SW MEP Trevor Colman will give the talk on the impact of the EU on the ordinary person in the street. There will be opportunities for your questions and your viewpoint. We shall have refreshments and a raffle. It is also a chance for you to chat to like-minded people. Bring your friends or anyone who wishes to meet UKIP members or to see what we have achieved.
ITEMS OF POSSIBLE INTEREST
Item 1) I had a gentleman saying how proud we should be that George Osborne had stopped Britain from helping bail out Greece. So I told him that as our IMF payment had just doubled from £10BILLIAN to £20BILLION and that a high proportion of the whole of this fund would be used by the IMF to help bail out Greece, I did not think it a matter of cheer. That shut him up!
Item 2) At the end of July there was a news item that sent shivers down the back. The pictures and report giving details of Muslims putting up stickers on lamp posts and buildings stating that the area was a Sharia Law enforced area!!!!! Does anyone realise that there are in actuality, 85 government-sanctioned Sharia courts in Britain today with more planned??
Now, is anyone else aware of the fact that Tony Blair repealed all Treason Laws way back in 1998? In spite of being an avid news watcher/listener/newspaper reader etc, I am finding out that not only I, but many others did not know. Were we asked? No wonder he carried on selling us. NO, giving us away, down the river!
Item 3) Many of you are becoming aware that the EU has passed laws against many of our herbal and vitamin products. Being in the Healing Profession and a great advocate of natural remedies, including Essential Oils, I was alerted to this way back in 2009. My students, past and present, have fought this with petitions, letters to MP’s, etc. continuously until now. We knew then it was useless as it was kept so quiet. It is on account of drug companies (EU) profits and of course, control, to the detriment of the people of Gt Britain.
Item 4) Have you herd about the breathtaking hypocrisy of Graham Watson Lib-dem MEP? Graham is an ardent Anti-Monarchist, a leading light in the European Arrest Warrant, a leading light in the group ‘Republic’. Graham is now a ‘SIR’ having actually accepted a knighthood from Her Majesty the Queen in her Birthday Honours list!!!! Beat that!
Item 5) I have heard the question, ‘if we really wanted to get out of the EU why do we have MEP’s?’ Indeed, I asked it myself. PLEASE be thankful that we have. Because if they were not there, we would not know half of the things being planned for US, behind our backs. If you come along on the 4th October you will realise the truth of that.
Item 6) Are you aware that Brussels is pouring nearly £20million per year from it’s Human Rights budget on lecturing the US on left-wing causes. The fund was intended to promote Western Values? In the developing world. A report has found that at least £17million cash has been used to promote the pet causes of the Eurocrats in the US.
Item 7) Have you head of Peter Davies? He is the Mayor of Doncaster. He has started the most common-sense draconian cuts in Council spending, including taking, by choice, a cut in his salary, doing away with the Mayoral posh car. Plus quite a few of the perks enjoyed by councillors. He is also determined to get rid of anti-social behaviour. Obviously he is not exactly a popular figure with some! Brave man. Please, why cannot all towns have a Mayor like that by law? Why does there have to be special rules to attain a law-abiding community of all ages? I grew up with laws in place for that. Have they been repealed as well? If the laws are still in place why do we have anti-social behaviour? The country needs UKIP!
I JUST WISH THAT THE PEOPLE OF GT BRITAIN COULD HAVE A FAIR SHARE OF HUMAN RIGHTS
The more people who join us the easier it will be to repeal the 1973 Law of Accession (If Tony can repeal, so can we) So talk to your friends, tell them what we are trying to do. Saving our Country!
Our forebears actually fought and DIED for this country to remain free of domination. They believed completely in Patriotism, Honour, Democracy and Freedom. For what did they die for? So our politicians can live in the manner to which they have become accustomed, regardless of the rest of us? OUR people dependent upon food parcels because their jobs disappeared overnight and then they have to wait six weeks for benefit. All this while OUR Prime Minister floats around the world dispensing millions of our hard-earned money to any country he may be in. Telling US we should be generous. How dare he!
Yes, we should help those not so well off. Most of us do (It is a well-known fact that the British are among the most generous of people). We help OUR elderly, OUR children, OUR NHS, OUR Police. In fact if we did not help them they would be in a very sorry state because their country will not help them. This is the 21st Century. Most towns including Wadebridge have a food parcel depot. Tesco have a tube to collect donations. This in the 21st Century. Was this what our Armed Forces fought and died for? I wonder when the first soup kitchen will appear on the streets in all towns. Or am I late? Are they already here. In the 21st Century (or is it the 18th Century?)
A friend sent me an e-mail asking me if I knew that the British Gov’t provides the following assistance:-
British OAP Weekly amount £100 Illegal Immigrant/refugee £250
B OAP Spouse Allowance £25 “ “ Spouse Allowance £225
B OAP Additional Hardship All £000 “ “ Add’tl Hardship All’ £100
B OAP Annual Benefit £6,000 “ “ Annual Benefit £29,900
How can this escape the laws of Equality?
Could someone tell me just how the so-called experts, often with no degrees for the position they hold, get to be in charge at the top? Look at the unholy mess we are in. Are they sacked? NO! We would be! The books of Brussels not signed off AGAIN. We would be in court and then imprisoned for tax evasion and fraud! Can you imagine the HM Customs and Excise turning a blind eye to us? Or the courts to pensioners unable to pay their Council Tax??
I WANT MY COUNTRY GT BRITAIN BACK – FOR MY CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN! DO YOU?
P.s. I feel better now I have written that!
Caroline Spelman, MP extraordinaire! With her husband she ran a lobbying company in favour of wind farms! I bet she does not have one next door to her home. She has decreed it is safe for us to eat cloned meat and GM crops. She states there is no risk! What proof has she of this? Were we asked?? Does she eat it, or is it served up in the publicly-funded restaurant in Parliament? Do you want to eat GM Foods and Cloned Meat? Do you want your children to?
Tell your family, friends, neighbours. There is a solution, JOIN UKIP! Let us sing it out loud. Leave no-one in any doubt. We mean business! Can you imagine just what it would mean if we could keep the £45 million plus per day we pay EU just to be in the EU and give at least half of it to the individual countries of Great Britain each day until no debt remained, or cuts needed! A month of that should do it. Then OUR elderly could afford BOTH heat and food, OUR school buildings could be modernised. OUR fisherman could catch enough to remain in business, likewise farmers, likewise our business manacled by the red tape of Brussels, etc etc!
By the way, am I the only one to think it weird to actually CLOSE a building because it was not run properly? The building in the recent ‘Care Home’ scandal is practically new. Why not sack all the staff, then put others in place and carry on? Same with shutting ‘poor report schools’. Just sack the staff. Closing a building is surely a way of pulling the wool over our eyes as to budget cuts?
I bet they do not close the new EU office building because it is poorly run! £270 million so far. It is nicknamed ‘EU terus’! Isn’t that revolting? (Cause it looks like a huge womb).
By the way, an interesting e-mail has come my way. Not sure how true it is, so if anyone can cast light on it, do so. As follows:- There is a company in Gt Britain that has just 635 employees. Out of that workforce – 29 has been accused of spouse abuse, 7 arrested for fraud, 9 accused of issuing cheques that have bounced, 17 directly/indirectly causing at least 2 businesses to go bankrupt, 3 have done time for assault, 71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit rating, 14 arrested on drug-related charges, 8 arrested for shoplifting, 21 currently defendants in lawsuits, 84 arrested last year for drink/driving. These people have cost the taxpayer £92,993,748 in expenses. These are the members of our House of Commons. They have the best corporate pension schemes of all. The same group who churn out all the new laws to keep us lot controlled.
This is the prĂ©cis of the Speakers Corner in Trago advert by David Chalice (HO) – Lord and Baroness Neil and Glenys Kinnock have earned almost £8 million from EU and have a combined pension of £164,693. Lord Peter Mandelson had a golden handshake of £311,000 and has an annual pension £35,543. Lord Leon Brittain has £83,000 per annum whilst Lord Clinton-Davis has had £12,150 per annum since 1989. All pensions index-linked. In early June in the House of Lords these same Euro Lords along with other pro-EU Lords such as Heseltine, Howe and Hummer, voted down a bill designed to guarantee British voters a referendum on further loss of sovereignty. There is one big problem – Under Brussels ‘loyalty’ clause anyone receiving an EU pension can lost it it they – wait for it – speaks out against the EU!!!!! Unlike other outside income, they do NOT have to declare them in the Lord’s register or interest. So payments are kept secret. Now you know!
NOW, you can all go and have a cup of tea to digest this little lot. You deserve it! Then you can let me have YOUR news!
Seriously, if it has made you think a little whilst reading it, I am glad. I am also aware that many of you will already know of the subjects I have mentioned. Please try to come to the Wadebridge meeting on the 4th October, because listening to Trevor will really make you sit up and think, I promise!
So everyone, any news, ideas, views, especially fund-raising ideas, etc, please let me know so that I may include them, either for our committee or the newsletter, OR the website. *YES!
